Makeover time!

So before I tried to apply the book pages to my GIANT cabinet I wanted to see what it would look like with this smaller one.  The green was already screaming for a makeover so why not???

An easy paint job and a few old pages out of a book can change so much!  I just love this now.  It was kinda scary attempting this I will admit, it bubbled up so much I thought I did something wrong, but after a few hours it dried completely flat.

Cabinet Makeover...

Found this fun little, well actually HUGE cabinet on craigslist.  I am so excited to give it a nice little face lift... Just don't know what yet.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I was debating doing something on the doors and the top with old music sheets and then a nice antique glaze to finish it off... After of course a new paint job....



Table Re-do

In search of a great coffee table screaming to be painted white.... Where better to look then Craigslist right?

Found this adorable table for a great price!  Couldn't pass it up!  A little primer, paint and distressing it made it the perfect addition to our home.

New curtains



I was getting a little tired of these plain boring red curtains, I needed something more.  But when searching around for new curtains it surprised me on how expensive they are!  I don't know how to sew so I didn't think I could make my own... Until I got an idea! 



I got an old piece of wood and hammered a few nails into it.  I bought a few yards of fabric and some

netting and then hung it off of the nails and stapled the netting into the wood, I think I turned out perfect!!

And I didnt have to sew anything..

Halloween... To early??

I love this time of the year!  I just cant get enough of decorating for all the holidays!  I know Halloween is still a few weeks away but there's nothing wrong with a nice little front porch makeover is there??

New pictures of my house!

A few updated pictures of the house, I cant believe how much its changed since we bought it!  The antique malls and yard sales have done us well filling our house up with all sorts of goodies..  My husband keeps asking me when I think we will be done going to antique malls.. HAHA silly him!  There will never be an end  to antique malls and yard sales!  No matter what I will always find a spot  for one of those amazing finds and  if not, I can always trade something out to make room!  Poor guy..  He just doesn't know what hes in for :)

Sunday Projects...

Oh my long list of Sunday projects!  Kept me busy all day long...Cant complain though, I think I'd rather be working on painting and sanding then sitting on the couch watching a football game on the TV and Baseball on the computer (my husband of course).

I loved it so much I put it in my livingroom!  I kinda have a dresser addiction...

I have one in everyroom in my house!

Project Bathroom

I saw a cute Idea I wanted to try by hanging little hooks up for the towels instead of a bar.  So when I was trying to take off the bar it ripped the paint off all the way up the side of my wall.  I was a little shocked and hadn't seen paint do that!  Ugh this wasn't on my list of projects for the weekend..  So when I tried to find an end there wasn't one, the paint continued to pull off until every last piece was gone!  So of course knowing eventually I was going to paint it white I added it to my list and got it done last night!  It wasn't easy!

I sure wish I had a window in my bathroom to add a little light in there!  But o-well it turned out perfect and I love it!  Next project (much further down my list) new light fixtures, I'm not to crazy about the metal one that's in there.

My House

I am so very new at posting on blogs but I promise to get better! 

March my husband and I bought a house.  I was so excited!  I have never really had a home, mainly apartments.  So I couldn't wait to get in there and decorate!  But wait... I didn't know anything about decorating!  My first thought for this House was color color color and for the rest I didn't care! Well what you don't know about me is I am a Very anxious person, so when I wanted to paint everything... I did!  Every room had a coat of paint on them.  Blues, greens, browns, yellows and a little red.  I loved it at first,  But as I  searched different websites and looked at blogs I decided to go a whole different direction... Shabby Chic!  I thought that's exactly what I want my house to be, but wait, I just spent the last 20 hours doing the exact opposite of what I want.....  White walls!  But at this point I just haven't had the energy to re-paint what I already did lol I will someday.  I am more focused on the yard sales and antique malls right now.  Trying to find all the little items I need.  I am pretty much starting from scratch, I just keep buying little by little until I get there.  Here are a few pictures of the house before we did anything to it.

Living room

  The littlest kitchen ever!  This was at the top of the list!

  We couldn't even open the fridge all the way with out hitting the counter!

                                            

This is the after, I love it!  The bright white cuboards where prefect and so much extra room!

Notice we put in a dishwasher!  A must have for our house!

                                           

I painted the walls more of a mustard yellow and I have to say I still very

much like this, I dont think I will re-paint this room.

So now here I am painting little things here and there with Color, and as I look at it I hate it!

I look at this picture and ask myself what was I thinking..

 Now this is my TINY TINY bedroom, and yes it is the Master bedroom!  

  Just don't know what to do with it... In fact I still dont know what to do with it! 

                    Ive always said I wanted a green bathroom, and well I definitely got it!  It wasn't the green I was hoping for but it worked for now.  I do like how it goes perfect with the picture.

              These are all older pictures of my house.. Just so I could get everyone caught up on what I have done.  Its changed alot since, I just havent taken any new photos yet, but its on my list for this weekend!

Along with several projects I have, found some amazing dressers and tables last weekend
